Jaleel Uqdah's distinctive walk helped identify him before he was taken into custody from his Philadelphia home, police said.
The 22-year-old man went into the store at 11:11 and waited nearly 20 minutes inside of the third-floor women's bathroom before the victim walked in, according to Philadelphia Police Capt. Mark Burgmann.
Uqdah threatened to stab the woman and robbed her before he fled underground and hopped on the Market-Frankford El, Burgmann said. He then got off on Market Street and took a bus to Girard Street, police said.
Surveillance tapes led police to the suspect home on North 53rd Street, where a search warrant was executed.
Uqdah was apparently surprised when police arrived, however, he was arrested without incident, authorities said.
Police received assistance from Macy's and SEPTA.
Uqdah was slapped with multiple charges including rape, aggravated assault, robbery, sexual assault and more.
